Merry Bough Music is an independent record label and music publisher specialising in brass chamber music. We hold and publish the catalogue of the Ensemble of the Golden Bough, and issue recordings, scores and performing parts for brass quintet, brass trio and flexible brass ensemble, including folk-song settings, arrangements and original works.

About the music
Molly on the Shore is founded on the Cork reel tunes Temple Hill and Molly on the Shore. Ye Banks and Braes O’Bonnie Doon is Grainger’s setting of the Scottish song associated with Robert Burns’s poem.

Standard brass quintet: Cornet 1; Cornet 2; Horn in F; Trombone; Tuba.
Alternative brass-band quintet: Cornet 1; Cornet 2; Tenor Horn in E-flat; Euphonium; E-flat Bass.

Cherry Ripe is the second of Frank Bridge’s Two Old English Songs, H.119, composed in 1916 for string quartet. Bridge’s setting uses the song with words by Robert Herrick and music by Charles Edward Horn.
