About the music
Grieg composed the complete set of nineteen Norwegian folk tunes for solo piano in 1896. This brass-quintet edition contains the complete collection from No. I to No. XIX.

Instrumentation
Trumpet 1 in B-flat; Trumpet 2 in B-flat; Horn in F; Euphonium in B-flat; Tuba.

An alternative Trombone in C, bass-clef part is supplied in place of the euphonium part.
